Sony has done an excellent job with their recent Android tablets. Sony announced the Xperia Tablet Z in 2013 and also revealed the Xperia Z2 Tablet at MWC 2014. Both the Xperia Tablet Z and Xperia Z2 Tablet support a 10.1 inch display. Now Sony wants to make a high end compact sized slate.
Sony is likely to reveal the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact at this year’s IFA event. The Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact is expected to have an eight inch 1080p display with special coating to prevent reflection. The tablet is also likely to come with a Snapdragon 801 chipset, 3 GB of RAM, an eight megapixel rear facing camera, and a battery between 4500 mAh and 5000 mAh. The Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact sounds like a high end slate that is made for those who would like smaller tablets.
