Sony announced the Xperia Z4 in Japan and the Xperia Z3+ globally, but consumers are finding issues with their new handsets.
Customers in Japan and around the world have informed Sony that the Xperia Z3+ and Xperia Z4 are overheating. The two Xperia handsets come with a Snapdragon 810 processor which has had overheating issues with other devices from other smartphone manufacturers.
Users are telling Sony the intensive gaming and usage of the camera cause the Xperia smartphones to overheat.
Sony will bring a software update to the Xperia Z3+ and Xperia Z4 this summer to try to fix or reduce the overheating issues.
Sony also responded to the overheating problems of the Xperia Z3+ and Xperia Z4 by issuing the below statement.
Sony Statement Regarding Xperia Z3+ & Xperia Z4 Overheating Issues
“The Xperia Z3+ is a high-performance 64-bit octa-core device with advanced camera technology, in some cases, additional heat can cause functions to stop. Enabling applications can also be felt by the user through the glass on the back. This is normal for the unit and should cause no concern.”
Sony is trying to resolve an issue on it’s latest Xperia flagship handsets that has harmed other smartphones. A fix to the issue should be coming soon.
