Samsung could launch the Galaxy S7 later this year to compete in the smartphone market.
A new Samsung Galaxy S smartphone is normally announced in Q1 of the year. Samsung normally uses the Mobile World Congress (MWC) tradeshow to reveal new Galaxy S models. MWC takes place in the beginning of the year, but Samsung could take a different path when it comes to the Galaxy S7.
Samsung could reveal the Galaxy S7 sometime in the second half of 2015 to compete with Apple’s next batch of iPhones. Apple normally releases a new iPhone model in the second half of the year.
Reports claim that Samsung started development with the Galaxy S7 a few months earlier then usual. Early development could lead to an early launch.
Samsung hasn’t ever announced two high end Galaxy S models in the same year. If the rumors come true, it would be Samsung’s first time launching two Galaxy S models in the same year. Keep in mind that the next Galaxy Note should also be launched in the second half of the year.
We must now wait and see if these interesting Galaxy S7 rumors come true.
